Melvin purchased STATUS Engineering Associates Ltd. He has over 19 years of Process, Mechanical Engineering and Project Management experience. This includes facilities engineering, FEED studies, scheduling, cost estimates, working with the design teams and coordinating small to large oil and gas facilities. Process Experience Includes Sweet and sour Gas Plants up to 160 MMSCFD, 10,000 bbl/d Fractionation plant, 300 m3/h Liquid Ethane Fractionation plant, Storage Cavern Injection and withdrawal system design, Waste heat recovery/Power generation using Organic Rankine Cycle turbo expander, 60,000 Gal/d LNG plant Utilizing New/Proprietary Refridgeration technology, Gas Storage Cavern de-bottle necking, Crude tower de-bottlenecking and Jet A expansion, design of HIPPS systems and LOPA analysis
Jack P. D, R.E.T.

Jack founded STATUS Engineering Associates Ltd. in 1986. Within STATUS Jack is active in well test analysis, reservoir evaluations, project coordination, production management and corporate management. Jack has over forty years in reservoir engineering and beside his tenure with STATUS, has worked for major producers, the Alberta Research Council, and other major engineering firms.
Dwayne W., P.Eng.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Dwayne brings with him 15 years of work experience, Designing pipelines, gathering systems, to single and multi-well batteries to gas plants. Creating, Cost Estimates, Design Basis Memorandum and Scopes of Work and P&ID’s.
Robert (Bob) S, P.Eng.
Senior Project Engineer
Bob joined STATUS as an associate in 1987, serving as a principal mechanical engineer. He has more than 45 years of extensive experience in mechanical and structural engineering within the oil and gas industry. Bob has designed and installed a number of refrigeration, desiccant and amine gas plants with capacities from 1.0 mmcf/d to 20.0 mmcf/d. Other projects include oil storage facilities, water injection facilities, and NGL terminals for rail car and truck loading.
Francis B. O., P.Eng.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Francis brings with him 15 years of work experience. He started his career with research on thermal barrier coatings used for high temperature Gas Turbine Blades. A journal paper was published on this research. Other research has also been done. He has done FEED and HAZOP studies, been responsible for the Scope of Work specifications cost Estimates, procurement of equipment, dealing with a wide range of equipment such as heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, pumps and packaged equipment for both offshore and on land facilities.
Oleg B., P.Eng.
Lead Electrical Engineer
Oleg’s 19 years of work experience includes: Maintained and upgraded manufactured plant electrical, automation and control systems. Developed equipment maintenance schedules and budgets; to being a project manager participating in all phases of electrical and automation design, liaison with clients all stages of study, design and layout, cost estimates and the drawings for industry and well as for oil and gas; to being a lead engineer providing multi-project leadership, ensuring technical excellence, cost, schedule and contractual requirements are achieved. Conducted front end project development; created scope of work, design base memorandums, construction work packages, deliverables, project execution strategy and reviewing and approving vendor drawings and documents, preparing technical bid evaluations, and assisting in procurement of electrical equipment.
Carrie S., P.Eng.
Senior Electrical Engineer
Carrie has over 15 years of electrical engineering experience. This has involved work for well sites, small to large facilities, upgrades, installation of new equipment on existing sites and tie-ins. It also includes design work, procurement, optimization of project deliverables, visits to site, meetings with team and with clients. Has created detailed manhour estimates, cost estimates and progress reports.
